A new Sunday market starts in Holt this week
Look out for an exciting new monthly market starting in Holt this Sunday, with more than 40 stalls, selling handmade crafts, artisan food and drink, and plenty of delicious street food, including Fat Teds, Currylicious and The Hen House Kitchen.
Roads are being closed in the town centre to allow people to really enjoy themselves, as buskers and a DJ fill the streets with music.
There are two free stalls allocated to community/charity organisations, and lots of communal tables and chairs to allow people to meet and spend time in a socially distanced, outdoor environment.
Iain Wilson, leader of Love Holt, a communication and support hub for the town, says:‘Following a difficult year, where customer behaviour has certainly shifted towards spending and shopping online, and where many high streets will be nervously looking at what the future holds, Holt bucks the trend and reports the lowest number of available empty shops, a buoyant outlook and potentially the best line up of independents it has had in many years.
‘The market will enhance Holt’s core offer by bringing in more local independents, providing visitors and residents of the town an opportunity to spend time together in a great environment.’
- The first market is on June 6 and then runs every first Sunday until December 5, and every Sunday in July and August. The market is open 10am to 4pm.
