Event: Creake Abbey Farmers Market
Dates: First Saturday of the month
Time: 09.30 – 13.00
Where: Creake Abbey, North Creake, Fakenham, Norfolk, NR21 9LF
This is one of Norfolk’s leading farmers’ markets with more than 50 local producers in attendance. Expect a really good cross section of top quality produce on offer, from chutneys to teas, pies, characturie, artisan breads, rapeseed oils and more. Stall holders do change so there is always something new to try! The market is held in two converted barns and, in fair weather, stalls are also positioned outside, close to a pretty pond, so it is a lovely setting. Make sure you find the time to look at the atmospheric ruins of the Augustine abbey.
The Creake Abbey Cafe and Food Hall are always open too, for both refreshments (don’t miss the wonderful home-made cakes) and yet more foodie shopping options – the butchery counter is recommended.
The market is run by Abbey owner Diana Brocklebank-Scott who is passionate about what she does and works hard to seek out new and exciting producers.
